Security forces reinforce surveillance in the road during the summer months

Begins to get the good summer weather and with it, the influx of much more public in tourist areas of our country, including Galicia and the Camino de Santiago. Therefore, monitoring of the different routes of the Way must grow in proportion to the number of hikers walking. The state has refused to reveal the number of troops available for security reasons.

Under the collaboration agreement between the central government and the regional government, the state security forces to increase surveillance on different routes of Camino de Santiago this summer, specifically between 15 June to 15 September. We must remember that, in addition, the Portuguese police patrol routes of the Camino de Santiago in Galicia this summer, as already reported.

During yesterday the Secretary of State for Security, the government delegate in Galicia, and deputy chairman of the regional government, visited the French Way in the hostel of O Pino, reviewing the cavalry squadron of the Civil Guard and the presentation of device Police Intervention Unit.
