
The most popular means of reaching Sarria is via the A-6, the motorway that connects A Coruña to Madrid. Take exit 488 in the direction of LU-546/Sarria/Monforte.
A good option to arrive and leave Sarria is by train. There are rail links from Madrid every day, except on Saturdays with the tren-hotel, it arrives at the Spanish capital at 22.30. The price per journey is around 50 euros. Check rates and timetables on the Renfe website. From Barcelona two trains depart daily, one, first thing in the morning and, a tren-hotel at the end of the day (around 100 euros). See Renfe website. From Lugo to Sarria there are approximately six trains daily.
Sarria has a bus station, situated on Calle Matias López. The main point of connection is Lugo. The journey to Lugo costs less than two euros and takes between 30 and 35 minutes, depending on the stops made at villages on route. Via Lugo there are connections to Santiago, as well as to other main locations in Galicia.
