Take care of your feet during the Camino

The care of the feet is an essential point to get to Santiago. You have to be very aware of them: take care of them and protect them, since they support our weight and, at every step, suffer small punishments.

Perhaps they are the ones who suffer most during the journey, therefore, it is important that we give them enough attention to clean them, dry them, moisturize them and take care of them correctly, as well as perform good stretches.

From Saltratos, Laboratorios Viñas, a brand specialized in foot care since 1921, we recommend the following products to take care of your feet along the Camino:

Gel refrescante

Before starting the stage:

Refreshing Gel

Cool gel that prevents and relieves overheating of the feet. Its application provides a pleasant sensation of freshness and well-being. Keeps the feet in perfect condition throughout the day. Does not stain and is absorbed quickly. In addition, this refreshing gel contains extract of Salvia that helps reduce excessive sweating of the feet.

How to use:

After the daily hygiene, and with the feet already dry, apply the gel with a massage until its total absorption. It can be used daily or when it is considered necessary. The ideal is to start the massage from the toes and go up to the ankles.

Relaxing salts (bottle)

It consists of a toning and comforting bath for tired feet with oligoelements and minerals of marine origin whose properties are energizing and remineralizing.

In addition to effectively relaxing the feet and thanks to the lavender extract, the bath with Salting Sales Salts softens the hard layer of the skin and facilitates the elimination of hardness.

How to use:

Dissolve two salt plugs in a container with four or five liters of hot water. Immerse the feet for about 15 minutes and then dry them without rinsing. It is recommended to do the treatment before going to bed.

The soothing cream is especially indicated for people who spend many hours standing or after submitting their feet to intense efforts such as long walks. It contains Harpago extract, which has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

How to use:

After the daily hygiene, and with the feet already dry, apply the cream with a massage until its total absorption. It is recommended to do the bath before going to bed and, if you want even more effectiveness, use the Saltos Saltos Saltos for the foot bath that is done before the application of the cream.
