From 18 to 22 October different associations and personalities related to the Camino will meet in a meeting that happens to the one held in Burgos in 2014
Taking advantage of the presentation of the new signage of the Mozarabic Way as it passes through the province of Malaga, the president of the Association of Malaga, Juan Guerrero, has announced that the next International Congress of Jacobean Associations will be held in Antequera. The congress on the Camino de Santiago will take place from 18 to 22 October in the town of Malaga and will be the 11th edition of the meeting, which takes place triennially, succeeding the X edition, held in Burgos in 2014.
It will be the first time that this encounter between the Jacobean associations is celebrated in the southern half of the peninsula; His motto this year is "El Camino de Santiago, Camino entre mares" and he wants to appeal to the connection between the Atlantic (which bathes Galicia, the end of the Camino) and the Mediterranean (from where the path begins the Mozarabic Way) . As in every triennial edition, the congress, which is convened by the Spanish Federation of Friends of the Way Associations, will serve as a meeting place for pilgrims, historians and researchers on the Jacobean routes from different parts of Spain and countries around the world.
