Given that Portugal has links to all of the Atlantic Coast, Tui boasts excellent connections. By car it is easily reached both from the border and from the north via the A-55, which is connected to the A-52 towards the plateau. The AP-9 also reaches this point and provides connections to Vigo, Pontevedra, Santiago and the north of Galicia.

By train there is a connection with Renfe, which communicates Oporto to Vigo and has a station stop in the town. In addition there are a number of bus companies. Monbus links Tui to Pontevedra from Monday to Friday. The route from O Porriño is covered by the transport company Ojea and, from A Guarda by Alsa.

There are also buses to Portugal, the company Autna covers the route between Vigo and Oporto and there is a special service with Alsa Internoct, which communicates Fatima to Santiago of Compostela and has a stop in Tui.
