Café Camino, a plan Asturian awareness for the importance of traders Caminos de Santiago

'Café Camino' is the name given to a new awareness plan promoted by Caja Rural Asturias and Asturias Where is an initiative that will serve to educate leading merchants whose businesses are located in some of the Caminos de Santiago route in Asturias. The goal is to educate businesses such as restaurants or shops, the importance of providing a tailored service to pilgrims, meeting their basic needs, which are usually different from any other tourist.

The Camino de Santiago is an important source of tourists in the communities through which pass some of its routes, improving the local economy in many municipalities, and being the main attraction of many rural areas that otherwise would not be interesting for tourists from within and outside Spain. Therefore, businesses such as shops, restaurants or hotels, should adapt your business to the road.In addition, in recent years the Asturian routes and other major roads, have seen a significant increase of pilgrims, and is not expected to be reduced to numbers 2021, in celebration of the next Jacobean Holy Year.

'Café Camino' is presented as a fantastic initiative for traders to know how to improve their business and take advantage of increased walkers.The first appointment of Coffee Road was held on Tuesday morning, with the focus on the Camino Primitivo. The next meetings will be held on May 25 and Tuesday 31 May.
