Camino de Santiago de la ría Muros-Noia: A route from the west coast of Galicia

The Camino de Santiago de la ría Muros-Noia is one of the most recent Jacobean routes and is becoming more and more popular. It was officially recognized as a Jacobean route last December 2020 and allows you to reach the Cathedral of Santiago from the west coast of Galicia, something that did not happen with most Jacobean routes.
While the English Way arrives from the north, the Portuguese Way from the south and the French Way from the east, this new Jacobean route arrives from the west coast of the Galician coast. The Camino de Santiago of the Muros-Noia estuary covers different localities located on the banks of the Muros-Noia estuary to then go inland and continue until you reach the Cathedral of Santiago.

Why walk the Camino de Santiago of the estuary of Muros-Noia?

Although all Jacobean routes have different attractions, the strong point of the Muros-Noia route is the fusion between the flora of the area with the views offered by the estuary.  Thanks to this route you can know from lush areas in the countryside to different villages near the Muros-Noia estuary, as well as cruises, hórreos and more buildings of great historical value.
In addition to the fact of a landscape that fuses land and water, the Camino de Santiago of the Muros-Noia estuary has the perfect distance to cover it in a few days. To this we must add that the average distance of its stages is much shorter than other Jacobean routes and that its route is more stable so that its journey is more comfortable to enjoy the scenery.
