This Saturday, October 14 will be the second protest march from Manzanal del Puerto to Torre del Bierzo
Pilgrims and neighbors belonging to the town hall of Torre del Bierzo, will participate this weekend in a very special march. They want to claim the budget and objectives needed to recover and revitalize the Camino de Santiago as it passes through the Bierzo Alto to the major regional administrations .
This Saturday, October 14, the second protest march will be held. Departure at 9:00 am from Manzanal del Puerto, arriving at Torre del Bierzo around 13:00 noon. It is planned, if the time goes by, that the participants cover about 12 kilometers of the section.
A small stop is planned at the Montealegre's Monasterio San Juan , where participants can enjoy a small class of history. Professor and writer Jovino Andina will give a short talk about the Camino in this very special enclave. At 8:30 hours will depart from Torre del Bierzo several buses that transfer participants to Manzanal del Puerto, to start the activity. Likewise, at the end of the activity the buses will take participants who wish to Manzanal del Puerto.
