A man assaulted his partner wanting to continue the Camino de Santiago alone and receiveing a negative response
A neighbor has alerted security forces of the Spanish National Police witnessing a man of 40 years without confirmed origin assaulted his partner in a park of Burgos. The man, who has been accused of alleged ill-treatment, has been arrested, while his partner has been accompanied to the hospital by police officers, seeing that he had injuries.
Apparently aggression would be related to man's intention to continue the Camino de Santiago alone, which would have triggered a discussion on women's refusal and the subsequent aggression. The couple of pilgrims was travelling the Camino de Santiago for a year, as stated by the Prefectures.
