Initiative to promote Route Argar this weekend in Lorca

 

This is a preparatory event for the "Nonstop Route Argar" to be held during 2017, linking Lorca and Santiago in 5 days

 

The Lorca-Santiago Association is the organizer of a new initiative, to be held Friday and Saturday, to promote Route Argar. 283 kilometers will be crossed in the "Running Nonstop" between Lorca and Ruidera, participating 12 runners and 4 cyclists-guides. This is a preparatory event for the "Nonstop Route Argar" to be held during 2017, linking Lorca and Santiago in 5 days.This initiative, "24 Hours Non Stop Running" has been recently presented by Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martinez Carrasco, and the president of the Lorca-Santiago Association, Roque Moya.

The race will take place 24 hours nonstop and relay, completing the above route to Ruidera.The aim of the initiative is to promote Argar Route, route approved as one of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela, joining in Toledo the Camino de Levante. Each of the 12 participating runners will have to make two shifts about 15 kilometers each, at an average of not less than 10 kilometers per hour.
