The Camino de Santiago has already registered 200,000 pilgrims in 2016

The Portuguese Dulce Frazâo arrived in Santiago accompanied by family and friends and was registered in the Pilgrim Office as 200,000 pilgrim of 2016

As we have been telling all summer the Camino de Santiago is in 2016 surpassing its historical record influx of pilgrims, as denoting that this last Wednesday came to the Cathedral of Compostela the pilgrim No. 200,000 of the year, ten days earlier than in 2015. The lucky is Dulce Frazâo, a Portuguese of the town of Fatima that began the pilgrimage route in Lugo through the Primitive Way.

It is the second time that Dulce and her family and friends come to Santiago, having previously completed the route by the Portuguese Way. Having been sealed compostela No. 200,000, the pilgrim and his entourage attended the mass at the Cathedral at 19.30, then receive a gift by the dean Segundo Pérez.

So far this year, and after completing high season on the Camino de Santiago, the number of pilgrims has increased by 4% compared to 2015. If you've also completed the Camino this year, have you noticed greater influx of pilgrims at other times?
