'Remove Rome with Santiago': Culture and Jacobean spirit

The Camino de Santiago will be the protagonist during the month of October in Rome

The cultural festival 'Remover Rome with Santiago', organized by the cultural office of the Embassy of Spain in Italy in Rome has opened its doors this week in the Italian capital on the occasion of the XXX Anniversary of the cultural itineraries of the Council of Europe. Just 30 years ago, in 1987, the Council of Europe itself awarded the title of 'First European Cultural Itinerary to the Camino de Santiago', a set of Jacobean routes that we want to revalue with this festival. The meeting, in which numerous Spanish and Italian institutions collaborate, has been inaugurated in the Roman church of San Pietro in Montorio, where it has also been used to open the inaugural art exhibition to the public.

This initiative, which revolves around the Camino de Santiago, will project in the Roman city until October 2 an important cultural offer, which includes the artistic exhibition 'Many Ways. Contemporary images of the Camino de Santiago '(with works by 31 national and international artists), the' Cinema no Camiño 'series, the' Musica para o Camiño 'concert series and the' Libros para o Camiño 'literary space. All these artistic spaces will coexist throughout the month of October in different spaces adhered to Spanish institutions in the transalpine country, such as the Cervantes Institute, the Spanish School of History and Archeology in Rome, the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome and the Casa del Cinema .
