The Minister of Innovation, Tourism and Commerce, and the Mayor of Valderredible have reviewed two important tourism projects: the Museum and Interpretation Center of the Camino de Santiago and the Via Ferrata del Ebro. The projects, financed by the Ministry of Tourism, will take place in the coming months and will help boost the economy of the municipality and tourism. It is hoped, in this way, to encourage visits to other centers of interest in the area, as well as to help the increase of mountain sports practitioners. Both projects involve assets that will attract visitors to the municipality, allowing a greater expansion of cultural tourism and, of course, an increase in the offer of employment and settlement of the young population in a rural area of the most extensive.

The Museum of the Camino de Santiago has already been auctioned and its works will begin shortly. For this purpose, a building will be rehabilitated in the Barrio de Arriba (San Martín de Elines). The space will be divided into two floors, with an area of 216 meters. It will offer reception functions for pilgrims, as well as include activities of cultural and artistic dissemination and social animation. The museum will be based on the heritage of the Valderredible rock chapels and the origin of the first pilgrimage routes of primitive Christianity in Spain, which is known as the "Romanesque Route", later forming part of the Camino de Santiago.

But, unlike the Museum of the Camino de Santiago, the Via Ferrata del Ebro responds to the need to provide the place with a tourist attraction related to one of its great resources: the Ebro river and the landscapes that are found in the area. Your starting and returning point will be next to the river, in the recreational area of Villaescusa de Ebro. The route will travel vertically and horizontally and will have two Tibetan bridges. All resulting in creating a tour of the most spectacular.
