Gravis is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease and that, unfortunately, is quite unknown to many people in today's society. The disease, which is characterized by varying degrees of weakness of the skeletal muscles, increases during periods of activity and decreases after rest periods.
It is therefore significant that seven people affected by this disease have decided to make the Camino de Santiago, with the ultimate goal to give visibility to the disease. With six employees of the Myasthenia Association of Spain (AMES), the plan is that those affected carry out five stages of the Camino de Santiago between 29 May and 2 June, from Palas de Rei to Santiago. The expedition will enter the Galician capital coinciding with the National Day gravis. Collaborators two primary care physicians will be found.Everyone can collaborate in the initiative, sharing messages of support through #juntoshaciendocamino hashtag on Twitter.
