The accommodation establishments of this centre are among the most anticipated on the entire Galician Way.
And yes, this stopping place is the prelude to a short yet very challenging climb, an ascent that will test the resistance of any pilgrim. Once overcome, this difficulty, walkers will be situated at the highest peak on the French Way in Galicia. With its 1337 meters of altitude, from this place they will have superb views over the Sierra de O Rañadoiro and of the valley, at their feet, as well as, from behind, the top of San Roque, which the pilgrims passed previously. Care should be taken with the cold and snow, two disadvantages of winter.
If you are traveling on the Camino de Santiago or are planning to do so soon, you should know that the distance separating Alto do Poio from Santiago de Compostela is 147 kilometers.
To live the Camino you must be registered and/or logged. Take the first step and start your story!
