Main connections

By car, the easiest way is via the A- 6, which links Madrid to A Coruña. The exit in Cacabelos is the 394.

By bus, daily services run with the company Aupsa to León - Ponferrada - Villafranca - Toral de los Vados - Fabero and O Barco de Valdeorras. For more information and schedules see here.

The nearest railway station is that of Ponferrada, a few kilometres away, and with good connections to the main cities of the country.

Correos offers a delivery backpacks service so you can walk without loads and enjoy the routes and stages. You can also purchase a packaging and shipment of bicycles service. The price is 42,03 euros (VAT included, shipping to mainland Spain). This is available in all offices.

There is no specific place for horses therefore pilgrims should call in advance to the Information and Tourism office (+34) 987 546 99, staff will assists them to find a stable.

In front of the pilgrim hostel there is a bicycle repair shop.
