Doing routes by motorcycle is a unique adventure that gives you unforgettable experiences. If you already know what we are talking about, we are convinced that you will love to discover more about the motorcycle routes that we propose. If we add to the magical experience of the Camino de Santiago the sensation of riding a motorcycle, we will have a unique adventure that we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives. If you were thinking of valuing your bike in an online shop like compramostumoto.es, nothing better than this route to say goodbye to what has been your traveling companion for years. Do you want to know where to start?

The Camino de Santiago does not have a single road, but can be done in several ways. While it is true that many prefer to walk it to make a sacrifice, enjoying this route on a motorcycle allows you to enjoy the wonderful landscapes that only the north of Spain boasts.

The French Way

This is one of the most popular routes to Santiago de Compostela. The route starts in the village of St Jean Pie de Port. From there, there are about 835 kilometers of travel through places with a history of more than a thousand years, including villages, monasteries, cities and even old residences and hospitals.

Best of all, there is very little traffic on the roads. You will have a quiet trip and you will be able to stop wherever you want.

From this small French road to Pamplona there are 74 km along the easiest stretch of the Pyrenees. From there we will arrive in Logroño, passing through the mountain pass of El Perdon and enjoying traditional villages and vineyards. Don't forget to stop in Estella and Puente La Reina.

Through Castile

The Castilian plateau is another place to reach Santiago de Compostela. You can go down from Logroño to León enjoying the vineyards and seeing how in a stretch of the route the landscape changes to reddish cereal lands.

From León we will pass through Villafranca del Bierzo, San Miguel del Camino, Astorga and the beautiful Ponferrada.

End of the route

And it is precisely from Villafranca del Bierzo where we will leave for Santiago, which is about 220 km away. While it is true that this stage of the Camino maintains the original spirit of the route with curves between hills of oak and chestnut trees, there is no doubt that it will be a unique and incomparable experience to do it on a motorcycle.

In fact, between Guntín and Santiago, 87 km are considered a gift for motorcyclists to climb to a high altitude and enjoy unparalleled views. In addition, many of the small villages and towns in the area give exclusive and traditional attention to pilgrims.

This route is much more than just a road to Santiago, it is about discovering landscapes, gastronomy, people, villages and experiences along the way. We don't think there is a better way to say goodbye to your bike, who knows, maybe after this you won't want to!
