The Provincial Court of Coruña has ended today with the case of sexual harasser who boarded two pilgrims who performed the Camino de Santiago in the municipality of Mazaricos, La Coruña.

The JCPG defendant, who admitted the facts, accepted the sentence imposed by the judge, a total of three years in prison and a compensation of EUR 500 to one of the victims for moral damages, and 5,000 euros to the second of victims injury, material damage and psychological consequences.

The judge imposed a sentence of one year in prison for a crime of sexual assault, plus two additional years for attempted rape.The incident occurred in 2010, when the convicted tried to attack an Italian citizen, L. M., between Negreira and hostel Olveira-Dumbría, making make inappropriate touching. The second assault occurred I.L.J.B French citizen, who was the victim of an attempted rape. Both managed to escape in time the aggressor.
