Angioedema patients arrive in Santiago after doing a stretch of road

During yesterday a very special group of pilgrims arrived at the Obradoiro Square after crossing a stretch of the Camino de Santiago. It was a group of pilgrims affected by hereditary angioedema, a rare disease characterized by recurrent swelling of the skin, mucous membranes and internal organs.

The group, composed of 80 people from 14 different countries, including those affected by the disease, family members and caregivers, decided a stretch of 50 kilometers of the Camino de Santiago to present their rare disease.
