Which airport to choose to reach the main Jacobean routes in Galicia?

  • English Way: This route originally starts in Ferrol. It is best to fly to the city of A Coruña, get to the city center and from there travel by bus to Ferrol.
  • Portuguese Way: To follow the traditional Portuguese Way or the one that goes along the coast, it is best to fly first to Vigo. From this city you can take a bus to both Tui and Baiona, two of the most popular starting points for pilgrims.
  • French Way: Whether to start from O Cebreiro or from Sarria, if you want to walk the last kilometers of the French Way you have to get to Santiago first. You can fly to the Galician capital and from there take a bus. In the case of traveling from Santiago to Sarria you can take a bus or a train, however to get to O Cebreiro you must first travel to Pedrafita do Cebreiro by bus.
  • Camino del Norte: In the case of choosing the last kilometers of the Camino del Norte to travel the Camino, Villalba will be the town from where you can start. To reach this town you must first travel to Santiago and from there take a bus to Villalba.
