
It is a major dormitory town to the larger neighbouring city of León. It boasts almost all necessary services.
From seafood restaurants, chemists and pubs and even has its own Radio Taxi company and local police. Those pilgrims choosing to spend the night here have the option of an albergue, a hotel and hostels.
However, pilgrims usually decide to spend the night in the nearby Leon, in this case, La Virgen del Camino is a great place for breakfast especially given the great reputation of its bakeries.
