Throughout the Galician community we can find all kinds of waterfalls, such as the Belelle waterfall located in the town of Neda. Known in this area as fervenza del Belelle, it is a natural waterfall considered one of the most impressive and touristic of Galicia.
The fervenza of the Belelle is born thanks to the jump of level that makes the river of the same name in one of the areas southeast of the town of Neda. The jump in question has an altitude of 45 meters, after which the river follows its course between rocks and different pools of water. In the winter and autumn months, when there is more rainfall, the riverbed is usually higher, falling harder against the rocks. It is during these dates when you have to be much more careful when visiting it.
One of the most touristic fervenzas of Galicia
Although the fervenza of Belelle is the protagonist of the place, around it there are many more tourist attractions. On the one hand there is a viewpoint from which you can get a unique panoramic view of the area, while on the other there are several hiking trails around the fervenza itself that allows us to appreciate the riverbed from long before it makes the slope.
Whether you go for tourism or because you are going to start the English Way from Ferrol, there are some things you should know when visiting the fervenza del Belelle. The best time to do it is in summer or spring and there is a parking lot where you should leave the car and walk to the fervenza itself. It is only a total of 1.4 kilometers that you have to walk to get to see it.
