This measure of the public company will allow spread the pilgrimage route through letters and postcards sent throughout Europe. The stamp shows a picture of the main facade of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, plus some pilgrims coming to the Plaza del Obradoiro. Of course, there is also room for the classic scallop symbolizing the Camino.
It is not the first time that themed stamps of the Camino de Santiago are issued; the first three stamps appeared in 1937. "The pilgrimage on foot to Santiago de Compostela is a very rewarding experience but also a physical and mental challenge. Through the many routes leading to Santiago, for centuries have transited people of all kinds and condition, "said Correos in the presentation of this stamp.
