Pilgrimage to Santiago to ask for the "Emotijo"

Some pilgrims walk to Santiago for religion and respect for their religion. Others do it to see other places, areas where they have never been, walking, cycling or riding. Many make the Camino de Santiago as a tourist and recreational activity. Now the pilgrimage to Santiago is added to the list to ask Whatsapp to include a specific emoticon in its database.

We talk about the initiative known as "Emotijo", both in social networks and in the town of La Rambla, which is where this adventure has begun. Two of their neighbors, Ladislao Nieto and José Perote, start the pilgrimage on a motorcycle this Wednesday to Santiago. Their mission is giving visibility to their "Emotijo" campaign. The petition is addressed to those responsible for Whatsapp, the famous mobile communication application.

The ambassadors of the campaign travel to Santiago accompanied by their saddlebags of that locality, simply to ask for the inclusion of an emoticon of the botijo ​​that all can use. It is expected that, upon arrival in Santiago, they will be received by the Mayor Martiño Noriega.
