Along the straight entrance there are three streets that follow one after the other, namely rúa San Lois, Calle Sagasta and Rúa Víctor García. Along these streets walkers will find a variety of bars and taverns serving tapas and other dishes. One typical establishment in Pontecesures is the chargrill restaurant of parrillada Carabela, serving sandwiches, hamburgers, a menu of the day at 7 euros and a special weekend menu at 10 euros.

The main gastronomic recommendation is the restaurant El Olivo, on avenida de Vigo. It is also possible to have a glass of wine and tapas at the main accommodation establishment of the town, in the Hotel A Casa do Rio.
