This is a small centre of clear Jacobean past and with a history of providing hospitality to pilgrims. It is a clear example of a linear street village with a Calle Real- the authentic pilgrimage route- that passes through the heart of the enclave and where there are two albergues and other accommodation.
For those who need basic medical supplies, one of these establishments includes a vending machine with bandages and other first aid accessories.
If you are traveling on the Camino de Santiago or are planning to do so soon, you should know that the distance separating Santa Catalina de Somoza from Santiago de Compostela is 251 kilometers.
To live the Camino you must be registered and/or logged. Take the first step and start your story!
