The most original tattoos of the pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago

The Camino de Santiago leaves its mark on many of us when we go through it for the first time, so that there are many pilgrims who continue to walk routes throughout their lives. The imprint that the Jacobean phenomenon leaves on us is sometimes not only spiritual or psychological; Sometimes it is also visible, since it is not uncommon to see how some pilgrims decide to immortalize their life experience in their own skin with tattoos of the Camino de Santiago.

As we know that many pilgrims from our community wear tattoos with symbols of the Camino de Santiago in various parts of their body, we have asked for their contribution to be shown and the result is below. The most common tattoos that can be seen are worn on the cufflinks, on the wrists or on the arms, although there are also pilgrims who decide to tattoo their backs, as in the photo above.

We have seen tattoos of the Camino de Santiago of all kinds; some religious, such as the cross of Santiago, but those that abound mostly focus on the experience of walking or the universal Jacobean symbols, such as the scallop shell carried by pilgrims or the famous yellow arrows that indicate the route to follow.
