 At the highest point, the ruins of the Castle of Sarracín dominate the region, of Templar past. There are spectacular views from the motorway. Another place worth visiting is the church of the Magdalena.

As the capital, is well endowed with services: Bar A Fronteira, Claudio Supermarket, Grocery shop Carolina, Bakery artisan Cerezales (rooms, sandwiches, breakfasts and pies), Mesón Sarracín (menu of the day, meals, terrace), Cafetería Charly, Bar Restaurant Estanco (breakfast from 06.30) Mesón and Rural Tourism House Las Rocas (pilgrim menus at six euros, magic potion for the ascension to O Cebreiro), the Bar el Refugio del Cazador and Bodega Leo. Additionally, there are hostels for pilgrims and several rural houses. Check in accommodation.
