There are not few beaches that we can find in the Asturian coast, however among them there is none like the beach of Silencio. Considered one of the most beautiful beaches of Asturias, it is located in the town of Cudillero, in the area of Castañeras. From it you can enjoy the northern landscape and the tanquilidad of the Asturian nature, in addition to the beauty of the Cantabrian Sea that is one of the protagonists of this idyllic place.

Although many tourists know it as Silencio beach, it is also known as Gavieiro beach. It is a virgin beach in a circular shape, which is protected by large cliffs and different islets that offer a unique panoramic view of the place. That is why this beach attracts more and more tourists from all over the world, since there you can enjoy the sea and nature in its full splendor.

El Silencio beach, a jewel of nature

The Silencio beach is 300 meters long and its width varies according to the state of the sea. Its coast is quite rocky, something that does not prevent thousands of people from going there to spend the summer every time the heat arrives. To get to its location you must walk a fairly steep slope, from which you can appreciate the crystal clear waters of this beach and enjoy the spectacular seabed.

As if the Silencio beach was not enough to attract all kinds of tourists, the beauty of Cudillero manages to bring thousands of tourists to this town every year. To this we must add all the pilgrims coming from the Camino del Norte, who take the opportunity to enjoy this jewel of nature on their way to the Cathedral of Santiago.
