Samos has two very attractive monuments. One is the majestic Monastery of Samos, located next to the river Sarria. Its history dates back over 1,500 years. If the pilgrims exit from the back of the monastery, where the information point is located, and continue back along Calle El Salvador they will, after turning around, find another pleasant surprise. It is the small chapel of Salvador, Moorish in style, built in the late IX century and an ancient cypress tree 25 meters high, this tree falls among one of the 50 most notable in Spain.
