Through the council of Samos a bus services that connects Pedrafita do Cebreiro with Sarria passes. The bus company responsible for this route is Monbus. The service functions from Monday to Saturday with departure from Pedrafita at 6.45 hours. It passes through Samos at around 7.55 and, finally, reaches Sarria at 8.15 hours.

Correos offers a delivery backpacks service so you can walk without loads and enjoy the routes and stages. You can also purchase a packaging and shipment of bicycles service. The price is 42,03 euros (VAT included, shipping to mainland Spain). This is available in all offices.

Samos also has a taxi service and the driver responsible is José Mato Mourelos. His taxi rank can found on Avenida Generalissimo, Portal 3 or call: (+34) 9825 6027 / (+34) 982546023. Other options include Peregrino Taxi (679 444 996), based in Paradela (Lugo), mainly this company provide transport from the airports of Santiago and A Coruña to the place where pilgrims choose to begin their Camino, and Taxi Peregrino (654 969 666) which after filling in a form, offers clients the option of receiving on-line quotes and also allows them to book and pay on-line.

The company covers the whole of Galicia and its vehicles offered include; cars, vans, cars with baby seats or towing services for large luggage.  

For the transfer of backpacks, the pilgrims have several options. The usual procedure for those sleeping in public hostels, and thus unable to reserve a place at their next accommodation until their time of arrival is to designate a bar or another destination point where they can pick it up. For those staying in private hostels or hotels, their backpack will be waiting for them at their next accommodation.

The fee is 3 euros per step for all companies. The companies that offer this service from Arzúa are: Paquetería Transjes (phone: 686 808 183; susotaxi@gmail.com) Mochila Expres (phone: 627 435 778/666 377 155; transmochilavillanueva@gmail.com) – with this last company, the price in winter goes up to 5 euros, and Xacotrans (982 639 300/608 581 206), with this company the rate rises to 5 euros for the last stage, when the service involves access to the historic centre of Santiago. In both cases walkers should call in advance because the service vehicles with backpacks usually start delivery before 9.00. By noon, they are already at their destination.

Equestrian pilgrims should go to the Cafeteria Abadía, where they have the opportunity to leave their horses overnight in a meadow owned by the same establishment. The price for livery is 8 euros per night.
