Santo Domingo benefits from the basic infrastructure to fulfil the walkers needs, like grocers, shops, cash machines, chemists (three) and banks. For those needing to consult the Internet there is wifi available in the library, located in the Casa Trastámaras (on the Calle Mayor, 70). The tourist office remains, for the moment, closed.
In Santo Domingo they also opened a Centre of interpretation of the Camino de Santiago, it offers a tunnel of sensations of the pilgrimage route, a sensory journey for the visitor, who, dressed in coat with a badge, will travel from Puente la Reina to Santiago, retracing the origins of Santo Domingo. The exhibition, which includes projections, simulators and display screens, will allow them to experience a real Jacobean adventure, in every sense of the word. It only opens in summer. The centre is located on Calle Mayor, 33 (902 112 660).
