The Stages of Silleda

Those pilgrims wanting to make a stop on the Camino to visit Silleda and then return to their place of origin or, those choosing to begin their journey from this town of Pontevedra will have to reach the location by bus.

The company that covers the route from here to other nearby locations is -Santiago (40 kilometres away) and Ourense (66 kilometres)- Monbús. The norm is to travel to Compostela (the Galician capital with an airport, bus and train station), from there at least five coaches depart daily and also at the weekend.

The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. For those who prefer to go to Ourense and continue the journey from there-via bus or train-, the journey by coach to the city takes one hour and thirteen minutes. There are also at least 4 to 5 coaches that cover this route.

Correos offers a delivery backpacks service so you can walk without loads and enjoy the routes and stages. You can also purchase a packaging and shipment of bicycles service. The price is 42,03 euros (VAT included, shipping to mainland Spain). This is available in all offices.

En Silleda hay en torno a 8 licencias de taxi. La parada está en la Avenida del Parque, s/n. El teléfono es el (+34) 986580172. Con atención durante las 24 horas se localiza el taxi de Santi López: (+34) 986582582 y (+34) 629840211. Diversos alojamientos dispensan como un servicio a mayores la posibilidad del traslado de mochilas de los peregrinos. Entre ellos están el Restaurante González y El Gran Albergue del Peregrino.
