By car, via the A- 6, take exit 456 in the direction of N -VI (Becerreá - Cereixal). Take the C- 535 and turn-off at the LU -631 to later join the LU- P -6201. Another option is to reach Sarria (see the section on how to reach Sarria) and from there head in the direction of Samos via the LU -633.   The only way to get in or out of the town by bus is through Sarria. The company Monbús puts on a coach from Monday to Friday that departs from the bus station in Sarria at 18.00 (on Saturdays, at 14.15, there is no service on Sundays).  

To get from Triacastela to Sarria by bus involves an early start. From Monday to Saturday a bus departs at 7.20. The ticket price is 2.45 euros. Triacastela does not have a train service.

Correos offers a delivery backpacks service so you can walk without loads and enjoy the routes and stages. You can also purchase a packaging and shipment of bicycles service. The price is 42,03 euros (VAT included, shipping to mainland Spain). This is available in all offices.

The local taxi driver in Triacastela is Elva Campo Veiga, open 24 hours a day, he can be reached by phone on: 659 893 588. Conchi (646018164), the driver from Samos, also covers the area of ​​Sarria, Triacastela and Portomarín. As other options there is Peregrino Taxi (http://peregrinotaxi.com, 679444996/982541000), with head office based in Paradela (Lugo), they work predominantly to provide transport from the airports of Santiago and A Coruña to the place from where walkers begin their Way and, Taxi Peregrino (http://www.taxiperegrino.com /, 654 969 666) which offers customers, after completing a form, the ability to receive, by email a quote for their journeys. This service covers the whole of Galicia and also allows hikers to pay via the web.

Vehicles offered include; cars, vans, cars with baby seats and towing services for large luggage.        

The transfer of Backpacks:   For the transfer of backpacks, pilgrims have several options. The usual procedure for those sleeping in public hostels, and thus unable to reserve a place at their next accommodation until their time of arrival is to designate a bar or another destination point where they can pick it up. For those staying in private hostels or hotels, their backpack will be waiting for them at their next accommodation. The fee is 3 euros per step for all companies.

The companies that offer this service are Xacotrans (http://www.xacotrans.com /, 982639300/608581206). With this last company the rate increases to 5 euros for the last stage, when the service includes entry to the historic centre of Santiago. In both cases walkers should call in advance because both service vehicles with backpacks usually start delivery before 0900 hours.

By noon, they are already at their destination. Another option is Jacotrans (http://www.jacotrans.com /), the company that covers the entire Camino from Roncesvalles. In the case of stretch from O Cebreiro to Sarria the taxi that provides this service is one of the three from Pedrafita, O Rubio. Because at these stages not much luggage is required, the price is fixed, but with possible discounts depending on the number, at 7 euros.

The three places where pilgrims can keep their horses in Triacastela are the public hostel, Casa Pacios (982 548 158 - 608 080 556) and, Casa Olga.

Pilgrims who are doing the Camino of Santiago by bike will have no problem in finding somewhere for their wheels to sleep. The vast majority of shelters have a specific place allocated for this. On the other hand, there is no specific bike repair shop, so those arriving with any bike damage will not find a great solution. Talleres Ingerto (982 548 465), in Plaza Diputación, they may be able to assist with any problems (open Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 13.30 and from 15.30 to 20.00), but until pilgrims reach Sarria there are no permenant solutions.
