The Stages of Verín

The main communication road that passes through Verín is the motorway Rías Baixas, the A-52. This road connects the coast of Pontevedra to the plateau via Zamora. Towards the south, the N-532 road connects the region to Portugal.  

BY BUS

Verín has a bus station, the terminal is situated on calle Espido and the telephone number is (+34) 988411994. There are regular lines connecting this location to Ourense, the capital of the province.  

BY TRAIN

This is not the most recommendable option because the station is situated such a long way from the town. In fact the nearest station is Castrelo do Val-Verín Campobecerros, some 38 kilometres from Verín.

Correos offers a delivery backpacks service so you can walk without loads and enjoy the routes and stages. You can also purchase a packaging and shipment of bicycles service. The price is 42,03 euros (VAT included, shipping to mainland Spain). This is available in all offices.

The town of Verín has four taxi ranks, situated at the bus station, the hospital, on calle Laureano Peláez and in the square plaza del Concello. Telephone contact: (+34) 988411113.

Verín is considered an important stopping place for equestrian pilgrims, especially as since A Gudiña, almost at the entrance to Galicia, there are no other locations with facilities to keep horses.
