A Coruña Information

By car. A Coruna boasts excellent communications. By road it is connected to Madrid via the A-6 and the N-VI, to Ferrol, Santiago and Vigo by the N-550 and the AP-9. By bus. There are two daily connections to the main cities of Spain: Madrid, Barcelona, Asturias, Cadiz and Algeciras. There are also quite a few services to Santiago, Ferrol, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra. The bus station is situated on Calle Caballeros s/n |981184335. By train. The station of San Cristobal is located on the avenida Joaquin Planells Riera, s/n |902320320. From A Coruña it is possible to travel to Santiago and other long distance routes, such as to Madrid, Barcelona and, Bilbao-Irún. For more information (prices and times), consult the website. By plane. A Coruña has an airport known as Alvedro, situated in the neighbouring council of Culleredo, 8 kilometres from the city. From there it is possible to fly to Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, London, Amsterdam and Lisbon. The airport has a taxi rank and there are also regular bus connections to and from the centre of the city. These buses run every 30 minutes, from Monday to Friday and, a ticket costs 1.45. Lavacolla airport, in Santiago is also nearby, situated 65 kilometres away. Lavacolla also has a number of connections to: Alicante, Barcelona, Basel, Bilbao, Dublin, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Fuerteventura, Geneva, Gran Canary, Ibiza, Lanzarote, London, Madrid, Malaga, Menorca, Milan, Palma of Mallorca, Paris, Seville, Tenerife, Valencia and Zurich. Llevo un par de meses por la zona, aún no la he descubierto todo lo que quisiera, pero tiene un poco de todo. El Casco Histórico es perfecto para ir a dar un paseo rodeado de historia.
