The Stages of A Coruña

By car. A Coruna boasts excellent communications. By road it is connected to Madrid via the A-6 and the N-VI, to Ferrol, Santiago and Vigo by the N-550 and the AP-9. By bus. There are two daily connections to the main cities of Spain: Madrid, Barcelona, Asturias, Cadiz and Algeciras. There are also quite a few services to Santiago, Ferrol, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra. By plane. A Coruña has an airport known as Alvedro, situated in the neighbouring council of Culleredo, 8 kilometres from the city. From there it is possible to fly to Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, London, Amsterdam and Lisbon. The airport has a taxi rank and there are also regular bus connections to and from the centre of the city. These buses run every 30 minutes, from Monday to Friday and, a ticket costs 1.45. Lavacolla also has a number of connections to: Alicante, Barcelona, Basel, Bilbao, Dublin, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Fuerteventura, Geneva, Gran Canary, Ibiza, Lanzarote, London, Madrid, Malaga, Menorca, Milan, Palma of Mallorca, Paris, Seville, Tenerife, Valencia and Zurich.
