A Gudiña is a habitual stopping place for travellers on route from Galicia to Castilla, it has also established itself as being a typical place for pilgrims to rest.
Its population, variable, can be found on both sides of the N-525, the road that coincides with the centre on the Avenida del Beato Sebastian de Aparicio. It is on this street that the majority of services for pilgrims can be found. This location suffers from low temperatures and snow is common in winter.
If you are traveling on the Camino de Santiago or are planning to do so soon, you should know that the distance separating A Gudiña from Santiago de Compostela is 205 kilometers.
