The municipality of Soutomaior is famous for its oysters and Albarino wine, a product recognised as worthy to receive the stamp of Denomination of Origin Rias Baixas.
Their oysters are a great tradition. In this area visitors will find renowned catering establishments such as the restaurant Arcadia, specializing in seafood. For early risers a good option for breakfast is the centrally situated bar Muxicas, conveniently situated close to the albergue and the hotel Duarte. Its fame and tradition for albariño is reflected in the number of wineries in the area.
