Located on the banks of the estuary and the region of the same name, Aviles is one of the most populous towns in the Principality of Asturias, with about 80,000 inhabitants (third municipal capital of the autonomous community).
Aviles, crossed by the Northern Way, stands out for its old town, which retains a remarkable artistic historical heritage, in addition to its cultural heritage, championed by points such as the Niemeyer Center. Aviles is located halfway between Oviedo (27 km) and Gijón (25 km).
