Logroño benefits from all the infrastructure of a great capital. Thus, for example, both in the historical heart of the city and in other areas the pilgrims will find a wide range of supermarkets, shops, chemists, banks and ATMs. For any medical emergencies they should visit San Pedro Hospital or, in the afternoon, the medical centre, Centro de Alta Resolutión San Millán (Tent). It opens from October to June, Monday to Friday, from 09.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 19.00, on Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 19.00 and on Sundays from 10.00 to 14.00. From June to September it opens Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00, on Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00 and on Sundays and public holidays from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 19.00 hours.
Walkers also have two specific places where they can locate information about the route. The Pilgrim Information Point, located on the Stone Bridge (0034941275982), opens daily from 10.00 to 14.00, and at the headquarters of the Spanish Federation of Friends of the Camino of Santiago, located in calle Ruavieja, 3 (0,034,941,245,674).
The latter, opens Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 14.00, here pilgrims can buy the credential. The other two places where they can purchase the credential are in the municipal shelter and in the church of Santiago. Pilgrims who visit Logroño and want to tour the city without backpacks have two options to leave them. One is in the pilgrim Information Point on the Stone bridge here there are small lockers. Furthermore, in the church of Santa Maria del Palacio, near the albergue, the pastor has established a service so pilgrims can leave their luggage from early in the day until its closing time. These are in the Espolón, the plaza del Mercado, Parque del Ebro, the council Patio of Operations and Gota de Leche. Those pilgrims who need to buy some hiking equipment can go to different shops. One is Planeta Agua (on Avenida de Navarra, 8), here they sell clothes, boots, sleeping bags ... Also, near the Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Redonda, on calle Martínez Zaporta, 2, there is a curious craftsman and shoemaker, who has his small shop at the door of a building that for many years has done simple shoe repairs for pilgrims.
