Lugo has around 100,000 inhabitants. At lunch or indeed at dinner time pilgrims will face a great problem: choosing between the numerous bars and restaurants where they can satisfy thirst and hunger. The famous tourist slogan is simply “to eat, Lugo”. If walkers prefer a snack or want to have some tapas there are few places in Spain that can compete with Lugo.

Apart from Oviedo, it is the first location encountered by pilgrims on the Primitive Way where they can enjoy some nightlife. Within the city walls there are a number of places where they can go for a drink.
