The local economy is focused on attending to the pilgrims and tourists whom see the enclave as a centre from which to explore the lush and appealing jungle of Irati.
Consequently and, despite its small population, the village has a remarkable range of accommodation and services. Early risers have the option of breakfast from 07.00 hours in Casa Sabina or from 08.00 in La Posada de Roncesvalles. In terms of lunch and dinner, these two establishments offer a pilgrim menu, from 9 euros, as well as typical Basque dishes and local game. In the Hotel Roncesvalles customers can also enjoy restaurant service.
