The Stages of Betanzos

By road, the N-VI circulates the town of Betanzos and connects to the motorway AP-9 in Guísamo. Another option is from Miño, situated 15 kilometres by car, where there is also access to the aforementioned motorway.   The A-6 runs close to the town and connects it to the main cities of the peninsula.  

By bus, there are daily connections to national, regional and provincial destinations. The company Alsa (902422242) departs from Betanzos with services to Madrid, Oviedo, Irún, Santiago and Tui.  

From Monday to Friday, the company Monbus (902292900) operates between Santiago and Betanzos, while the company Arriva has buses that (902277482) connect to the locations of A Coruña, Ferrol, As Pontes, Coirós and Lugo. By train, Renfe (902240202) offers a daily service to Ferrol, Lugo and A Coruña and, to more distant locations like Madrid and Barcelona. For more information, consult the website.   The nearest airport is that of Alvedro (A Coruña), situated 20 kilometres away.

Correos offers a delivery backpacks service so you can walk without loads and enjoy the routes and stages. You can also purchase a packaging and shipment of bicycles service. The price is 42,03 euros (VAT included, shipping to mainland Spain). This is available in all offices.
