Festivities and markets

The Fiestas in honour of San Roque are the most significant celebration in Betanzos and are celebrated between the 14th and the 25th of August, they have been declared of cultural interest for their religious and traditional content. Y

ear after year the fiesta attracts a growing number of visitors, especially on the days when they release a giant balloon and The Caneiros (the 18th and the 25th of August), there is also a medieval fair, which is held during the second weekend of July.
