If there is something that characterizes Galicia, in addition to its varied gastronomy, are its incredible beaches located along the entire coast. Therefore, many pilgrims choose not to end their Camino in Santiago and continue to Finisterre, where they can visit the famous end of the Earth and some of the best beaches in Galicia, such as Langosteira Beach.
The Costa da Morte, which forms part of the Galician Rías Altas, is full of incredible beaches where you can enjoy the good weather. Or the scenery, as it is well known that in Galicia the temperature is not always good. One of the most visited by pilgrims is Langosteira beach, as it is very close to Cape Finisterre, a place where, next to the lighthouse, the adventure of the Camino comes to an end.
It is a beach of almost two kilometres long, which even being located in a place of lively tides as Finisterre, has a calm sea. Its location protects it from the strong winds and the waves of the open sea. For this reason, it is a beach that transmits a great deal of tranquillity and is perfect to go with children.
In addition, in the southern part of the beach there is a granite cross called Cruz de Baixar. From its location it is possible to contemplate the incredible views of the turquoise water and the white sand that characterise Langosteira beach, which makes it the ideal place to take a good photo.
To live the Camino you must be registered and/or logged. Take the first step and start your story!
