This small Jacobean town, which appeared in the Codex Calixtino as to the sixth end stage, will surprise more than one pilgrim for its famous monuments like the church of San Martín, an authentic Romanesque milestone, and the Canal of Castilla, an example of outstanding engineering work from the Enlightenment period, which will receive the pilgrims at the entrance to the municipality. The land of cereal, as its name already suggests (frumentum, wheat), and various mesons reward walkers with typical Castilian cuisine and the classic dish of (lechazo) baby lamb.
