The town has a diverse number of restaurants with menus for pilgrims, which offer the walkers typical local cuisine, one of its main attractions. Among the specialties are local vegetables such as Cardo (thistle) or borraja (a green vegetable similar to cabbage), alubias pochas (white haricot beans), or roast lamb.
Other traditional products include peppers and artichokes. For breakfast most eating establishments are concentrated close to the monumental area. In the square Plaza de la iglesia de Santa Maria they will find the café, Buen Camino, with full breakfast served early in the morning.
