The Credential: If beginning the Camino in Ourense, acquiring the credential can prove difficult for pilgrims. The bishop does not make it easy to receive the document and the tourist office does not always have them available. Walkers may have to go to the business office of the Confederación de Empresarios de Ourense (CEO), where the Association of friends of the Camino for the Silver Route has an office.

From this entity pilgrims can receive the credential free of charge. It is situated in Plaza das Damas, next to the cathedral, opening hours, from Monday to Friday are from 08:15 to 14:45 and in the afternoon from 16:00 until 20:30 hours (on Fridays they open until 19:00 hours).   The Municipal Tourist Office: Rúa Isabel la Católica, 2 (historic centre).
