Pamplona is an expensive city compared to the rest of Spain. Visitors should not be surprised to find higher prices than usual both in guesthouses and hotels. During the week of the San Fermín prices can multiply by up to five times their normal rate. Currently Pamplona has two Albergues in operation Paderborn, situated on the banks of Arga and the Albergue of Jesus and María, very close to the cathedral.
Another good option for pilgrims is El Hostel Hemingway, with special prices for pilgrims, fifteen euros including breakfast. The Hotel La Perla is the most exclusive accommodation in the city. It is also where Hemingway stayed during his escapes to Pamplona as well as other famous characters, Woody Allen, and Charles Chaplin ... It also has a special rate for pilgrims: 162 euros for a double room with dinner at Cafe Iruña as a gift. Aside those mentioned there are endless options available.
