As a large city, pontevedra has an abundance of culinary offerings that cater to the tastes of both local and international diners. Another notable product of the area is the famous crayfish from the nearby town of Marín. The wines from this area also deserve a special mention, which boast the stamp of Denomination of Origin Rias Baixas.
